Music Research: Missing

Hello queens and kings. How was your day today. Anyway today's topic is the all about the movie 'Missing'.

  • What conventions of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?
The conventions in Missing are tracking, over the shoulder, medium closeup, close ups, shot/reverse shot, wide shot, diegetic sound, acting, and many more. When looking at the movie I noticed a lot of tracking being used. Close up were also used and when I  saw a close up of the baby, I just loved it. So what I learned from this is that you should do a close up of items or a person that will attract the viewers.

  • What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you liked?
The convention that I liked in Missing is the tracking as you could let readers actually feel that they are there in person. Another convention that I like was the close up because of the baby the baby was so cute  and also you could use this to let the viewers see a closer look. Lastly, is a wide shot because you can see what the background of the scene is and where the character is located. So looking at it I would use these conventions in my final film.

  • What conventions of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you and you are thinking of not filming for your final task?
I plan to not use over the shoulder as you can see in the previous movie research blog I wrote. Over the shoulder is just not meant for my film. Surprisingly that's all the convention I don't want to use.

Well that seems to be all for now. I hope you have a good day tomorrow. Make sure to stay safe out there. Bye queens and kings.

                                     Sincerely, Shabriana Chevelon
