Title Research: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Hello queens and kings. How was your day today. Anyway lets get back to the topic at hand which is a movie that I found on Art of the Title called The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo made in 2011.

What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

During that tie it was introducing Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures present, A Scott Rudin and Yellow Bird production, A David Fincher film, Cast: Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, The title: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Cast: Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard, Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, Yorick Van Wageningen, Joely Richardson, Geraldine James, Goran Visnjic, Donald Sumpter, Ulf Friberg, Casting by Laray Mayfield, Costume Designer Trish Summerville, CO-Producers Berna Levin and Eli Bush, Sound Design by Ren Klyce, Music by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Editors: Kris Baxter, A.C.E., Angus Wall, A.C.E., Production Designer: Donald Graham Burt, Director of Photography: Jeff Cronenweth, ASC, Exective Producers: Steven Zaillian, Mikael Wallen, and Anni Faurbye Fernandez, Produced by Scot Rudin, Ole Sondberg, Soren Staermose, and Ceán Chaffin, Based on the book by Stieg Larsson, Originally published by Norstedts, Screenplay by Steven Zaillian, Directed by David Fincher.

What images are prioritized in the opening sequences?

There were a lot of things happening for the images in the opening sequence but the thing they were prioritizing in the images was that everything was black and there was black liquid.

How does the film establish a feeling of a genre from the outset?

The film establishes a feeling of mystery because like I mentioned before there was a black liquid and that black liquid makes viewers curious as they would want to know what that black liquid is and also when something is black it sometimes correlates to something mysterious. For example, a black mysterious aura.

Well that seems to be all. I hope you have a good day tomorrow. Bye queens and kings.

                                    Sincerely, Shabriana Chevelon
